It seems to be pretty accurate and reads my bpm after about 4-5 seconds. I have had to lick my fingers before when too dry. I paid about 39 dollars for it at walm@rt so I am even happier with it lol. I had bought a sport previously and paid $50 for it and it takes about 10 seconds to read. All in all, this has been a good piece and is accurate

I am very happy with my purchase of the Mio heart rate monitor. I always wear one when I'm working out and I seem to go through a couple a year. I work out 4 to 5 times a week and often wear this instead of a watch. I would recommend this product.
